These are the 7 most common mistakes in skin care
Share
We already know how important it is to take care of our skin, especially during the cold season. But sometimes we can unintentionally harm our skin if we allow the following mistakes:
1. Go to sleep with makeup on
You should never do that! Because if you repeat this mistake regularly, your skin will age faster. Your pores will be clogged by makeup. Your eyelashes can break easily because of mascara.
2. Exfoliating too often
Peeling helps us remove dead skin cells, which is very important. This is the only way the skin can regenerate. However, peeling too often is not good. If you put too much strain on your skin, it will only cause irritation. You should not peel more than once a week; the drier and more sensitive your skin is, the longer the intervals between applications should be.
3. Using the wrong care products for your skin type
Not every product is suitable for every skin type, so you should first find out what skin type you have. You can easily determine this with a test.
4. Dry your face with a towel
And that's the biggest mistake you can make. Towels are generally not clean because you use them every day after washing your hands. In addition, fluffy terry towels are a breeding ground for dangerous bacteria that can penetrate the pores of the skin if you use them to dry. The best way to dry your skin is with a paper towel.
5. Touch your face with your hands
Our hands are never really clean, only when you have just washed them and haven't touched anything yet. Hardly any other part of the body collects as much dirt and bacteria as our hands. When we then touch our face with these hands, the bacteria land on the skin, clog the pores and pimples are not long in coming. That's why the rule is: keep your hands off your face!
6. Wrong order in skin care
There is a clear rule: light textures are applied to the face first and only then rich creams. You can find the correct order in our blog under “10 steps of Korean skin care”.
7. Not using sunscreen
Sun protection is the most important step in facial care in the morning, 365 days a year, even when the sky is overcast. UV-A rays are undesirable on our skin because when they reach the dermis, the layer of skin below the outermost layer, they attack our collagen. The less collagen our skin has, the more wrinkles we have.
Avoid these mistakes and you will look very young for a long time.
