Die 10 Schritte der koreanischen Hautpflege

The 10 steps of Korean skin care

Korean women are among the most demanding beauty consumers in the world. They know exactly how to care for their skin to always look young and radiant. The name Korean Skincare refers to a strict 10-step care routine. This includes the following manipulations:

Step 1: oil-based cleansing

The first step in your daily care routine is always cleansing. Very important! Before you start with the care routine, your skin must be freed of all make-up and everyday dust. The first step is cleansing with a cleansing oil. An oil cleanser dissolves and absorbs excess sebum, the same goes for oily products such as make-up and sunscreen.

Step 2: water-based cleaning

In the second phase, the face is washed with a cleansing foam. It is important to remove any remaining oil. Finally, dry your skin with a paper towel.

Step 3: Exfoliation

Now that we have removed makeup from our skin, we can move on to the next step - exfoliation. Physical peels with sugar are very effective, but they can damage the skin, so it is important to pay attention to the consistency and use such peels only 2 or maximum 3 times a week. For those who do not like particle peels or have sensitive skin, it is recommended to resort to chemical peels with fruit acids and lactic acids such as AHA, salicylic acid (BHA) or lactobionic acid (PHA). It is important not to put too much stress on our skin.

Step 4: Toner / facial spray

Toner is designed to help the skin restore its natural pH value. It frees the skin of excess oils and dirt. The toner also prepares your skin for further steps in the care routine.

Step 5: Essence

This is the be-all and end-all of Korean skin care. Essences do exactly what we want them to do - anti-aging. The liquid essence can be better absorbed by the skin. Thanks to their highly concentrated natural and plant-based active ingredients, essences do a great job of fighting wrinkles.

Step 6: Serum / Ampoule

Serums are an art form in themselves. There are different types of serums - those that help the skin regenerate or serums that help against skin aging.

Step 7: Sheet mask

If you want to soothe your skin and care for it even more intensively, use face masks. Because they are left on for longer, masks provide intensive moisture and care for the skin. Masks are usually quite rich and should therefore be used a maximum of 3 times a week after cleansing.

Step 8: Eye care

The eyes are the mirror of the soul. Every woman wants to see her eyes as wrinkle-free as possible. Small wrinkles are normal, but if not cared for properly, they can quickly lead to more wrinkles. To avoid this, you can use a rich care product with nourishing ingredients or hyaluronic acid.

Step 9: Moisturizing

Face cream is almost the last step in your skincare routine. The cream is designed to moisturize the skin and help it retain moisture. When choosing the right cream, you need to pay special attention to your skin type and needs.

Step 10: Sunscreen

Sun protection is the most important step in facial care, 365 days a year, even when the sky is very cloudy. UVA rays are undesirable on our skin because when they reach the dermis, the layer of skin below the outermost layer, they attack our collagen. The less collagen our skin has, the more wrinkles form.

With this skincare routine, you can be sure that your skin will always glow!
